Lebanon and the rest of Wilson County are thriving. The county is listed as the fourth highest in population growth in Tennessee, and also boasts the second highest median family income in the state. Wilson County prides itself on having the highest high school graduation rate and one of the lowest property tax rates in Middle Tennessee. Lebanon is home to a bustling and historic downtown district. The cityís town square is located on the site of a Civil War battle and has received national recognition in publications such as Southern Living magazine.
Lebanon's town square is sure to fulfill your antique shopping desires, but the city has plenty of other shopping options as well. Lebanonís largest retail shopping complex, Prime Outlets, opened in 1998 and attracts millions of visitors each year. Located on Highway 231 South at I-40, this mall houses more than 90 stores and restaurants, including Eddie Bauer, the Gap and much more.
Lebanon offers a wealth of recreational activities, the most impressive of which is Don Fox Community Park. This 40-plus acre public park includes playgrounds, pools, volleyball courts, picnic pavilions and the Cedar City Trail. Three and a half miles long, the greenway winds along a rippling creek and provides fun for bikers and walkers alike. The newest addition to the park is a playground designed for physically challenged children.
Also located in Lebanon is a 56,000-square-foot family recreation and aquatics facility called the Jimmy Floyd Family Center. This center has a gym, fitness and aerobic areas, racquetball, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and much more.
